			<description><![CDATA[<p>We found and purchased a bunch of brand new, shrink-wrapped Sony dash devices, and are making them available on &nbsp;the store. &nbsp;While we don't currently support these devices with our service, &nbsp;they are still cousins of the chumby device family. &nbsp;We don't know what Sony's plans are for their service, but as of this posting, it's still operating, and it still offers some interesting content (for instance, Netflix) that chumby doesn't.&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>After a year-long hiatus, the Chumby Service has finally been completely restored. The new service is a nearly complete rewrite of the original service - it's been brought up to date with newer technologies and made faster and more efficient than ever.</p><p>We want to keep this service running and not repeat the past - which means we need to pay for this new system.</p><p>While we have managed to defray some of the costs over the last year with <a href="http://ww.thechumbystore.com/">The Chumby Store</a> and the <a href="http://www.cafepress.com/thechumbystore">CafePress store</a>, that hasn't been enough to cover everything.</p><p>With a $3 monthly subscription, you now can have access to a selection of over 1000 apps for your chumby and Insignia devices. All of the original user accounts have been restored, and any apps, channels and registered devices are back the way they were.</p><p>Without a subscription, your device will operate the same way it has for the last year - with all of the music sources, alarm clock functionality and other built-in features. Please consider making a donation, since even that incurs costs for us.</p><p>However, to get a full Chumby Experience, consider buying a subscription - it's same price no matter how many devices you have, or how many channels and apps you select for your device.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>This store sells new and used Chumby and Chumby-related products.&nbsp;Revenue from these sales will be used to support the Chumby service.</p><p>All of this inventory is left over from when Chumby Industries was in business, so when it's gone, it's gone. &nbsp;However, not all of the items have been listed, so if a product says it's out of stock, please check back to see if we've replenished the inventory on the site. &nbsp;Once an item's inventory has been completely exhausted, then we will remove the item from the store entirely. &nbsp;You can use the RSS feeds to keep track of when certain types of products become available.</p><p>We also have added a "rare" category - there are several interesting one-off and rare devices and other items that we will be selling periodically - unusual color combinations, unreleased prototypes, and other random things.</p><p>The power supplies are a very limited product - please buy them if you have a broken one, not "just in case". &nbsp;We'd appreciate if you send back any nonfunctional power supplies, so we can look into fixing them or using their parts.
